Our range of treatment coatings are microporous, meaning they allow the timber to breathe while repelling water, protecting it from rot and decay over time.
Absolutely. Our treatments are an excellent choice to refresh existing timber products, or even to match old posts to your new Wortley Brothers wooden gates.
Our treatments are formulated as an all-in-one primer and finish, so you won’t need a separate base or top coat. Simply paint the treatment directly to the timber using a brush or sprayer. After two hours, apply a second coat for ultimate protection. We’d recommend topping this up every couple of years to keep the colour vibrant.
Make sure your product (either wooden gate, garage door or post) is dry before applying the treatment.
Our natural stains (available in oak, teak, and green shades) are a slightly lighter consistency, designed to allow the natural grain and texture of the timber to show through while changing the colour. Our home finish treatments are more opaque to provide a solid colour that covers the grain and creates a modern look.
