Wooden garage doors are a classic, stylish alternative to contemporary metal garages, with our product offering crafted from premium grade timber. These types of garages offer excellent insulation, customisation options with paint and stain colours, and enhanced curb appeal. 

Our wooden garage doors are made up of two doors of equal measurement. Single garage doors are available upon request – please contact our team to discuss. 

Here are our four simple steps to help you measure the width for your new wooden garage door: 

1. Measure the total space to fit everything into.
2. Minus the measurement for the frame each side (if you require one).
3. Minus your clearance gap, which will be 5mm each side and 10mm between the doors, totalling 20mm. This is so the garage doors will not catch and can open smoothly.
4. Finally, these measurements will leave you the width of your garage door.

Here are our four simple steps to help you measure the height: 

1. Measure the total height from the floor to the top of the opening.
2. Minus the measurements for a frame, if you require one. 
3. Minus 15mm for the clearance gap above and below the garage door. This is to allow the garage door to open freely and not catch.
4. Finally, these measurements will leave you with a total height for your garage door.

We will manufacture your garage doors to the exact height and width measurements you order, without deducting any tolerances or gaps. Therefore, it’s important you take these off in your own measurements. We will calculate the width of each door to total the width measurement that you provide.

Our wooden garage doors are designed to only open either inwards or outwards, and the placement of the hinge during installation will decide how the gate will open. For example, from the front view, the hinge will either be flush against the front of the post and garage door to open outwards, or flush against the back of the post and garage door to open inwards.

Our garage doors also feature a rebate, which is an overlapping joint in the centre where the two doors meet and overlap. This offers a freedom of choice on how your garage door will open, either inwards or outwards, and which door will open first. When configurating, make sure you select which direction of opening you would like.
