Yes. We’re passionate about providing a premium quality end product, so we take the time to ensure all of our wooden gates are fully planed and sanded to a smooth finish.

Our wooden gates are manufactured from your choice of our premium grade timber – Scandinavian Redwood and African Iroko Hardwood. In manufacturing, the joints are mortice and tennoned, glued, and then dowelled.

This process, combined with our premium wood styles, guarantees sturdiness and longevity for you to enjoy your gates for years to come.

Our gates are designed to open either inwards or outwards. The placement of the hinge during installation will decide how the gate will open. For example, from the front view, the hinge will either be flush against the front of the post and gate to open outwards, or flush against the back of the post and gate to open inwards.

If you are planning for your gate to open outwards, you will need to include a hinge packer to your order.

Our garage doors feature a rebate, which means they only open either inwards or outwards. This also gives you a freedom of choice of whether the left or right door will open first. Please contact us if you require more support about this.

The installation instructions for a wooden gate will vary depending on the type of gate you have. However, the general process for installing any gate will involve these three steps:

1. Secure the posts, making sure they’re sturdy and stable to hold the weight of the gate
2. Hang the gate after checking for alignments and clearance. Attach the hinges to the gate first, then to the posts
3. Check that the gate swings freely without catching, then attach any additional ironmongery, such as latches and bolts.
